Frans Hals at the Met

Copy of Frans Hals detail in my sketchbook
My copy of Malle Babbe by Frans Hals, 12" x 15", oil on gessoed paper

One of my favorite artists, Frans Hals, will be at the Met through October 10th.  Copying one of his paintings is a great lesson for the aspiring artist.  His brush strokes are masterful and his portraits are sublime.  Must see!

Frank Lloyd Wright's "Little House"

The living room of this house was reconstructed inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It's wonderful to experience the genius of Frank Lloyd Wright in three dimensions--a priceless treasure that most people will never be exposed to except in this museum. The Francis Little House is worth checking out.
