Art Group Meeting and New Painting
Spent some time today painting before my art group meeting. There were only five people there :-(, but we had a good time anyway showing our art around and talking about art, religion, baboons!, George Bush, etc. I almost finished a painting of a girl with a guitar and bowl of fruit, but I took it in anyway. It somehow appeared to me when I was looking at a bunch of unfinished paintings that Jerry had hung up on the wall in my art room. The canvas was a general mishmash of textures, but somehow the figure emerged and I accentuated it this afternoon. I hope to post it tomorrow (it's in the style of Picasso--one of my favorite artists!)

What a great painting! Very Picasso-esque. You also have a fun, interesting, and informative blog. Sadly, in my current job, I'm not allowed to be "controversial," (had to sign a paper, even!). So, for the time being, anyway, I'll have to live vicariously through you. Love your blog and your art, Gayle, and am looking forward to visiting it regularly. :)
Thank you for the compliment, Robin. I checked out your paintings on your website, also--great work! I linked to your blog and will follow your progress in your various projects. Keep up the good work!
Hey Gayle,
Really like this painting.
Kathy
Hey Kathy,
Thanks for the compliment. Do you have a Google blog yet? It looks like you might have.
